This is the first in a series of five posts exploring real estate activity within the city limits of Mineral Wells, Texas, focusing on the main sections of town.
Known as the Wellness Capital of Texas, and home to the historic Baker Hotel and famous Crazy Water, Mineral Wells is a charming small town located about an hour west of Fort Worth. It offers residents a peaceful, rural lifestyle while still being conveniently close to the city — a balance that continues to draw new homeowners.
My focus in this series is on residential real estate activity within the city limits. Is one area of town more desirable than another? That depends on who you ask. Some prefer the NW side, others love Western Hills, and still others will tell you Murco is the place to be. Ultimately, it all comes down to what you’re looking for in a home, a yard, and a neighborhood.
Mineral Wells is divided into four main sections — NW, NE, SW, and SE — with Hwy 180 and US Hwy 281 serving as the dividing lines. There’s also Western Hills, located about two miles west of Hwy 281 and north of US Hwy 180.
Today, we’re highlighting the SE side of town — the largest section with the most homes.
Over the past six months:
As these pending sales close, we’ll see whether home values in the SE side increase, decrease, or hold steady around the current average.
In conclusion, the SE side of Mineral Wells continues to show strong activity and diversity in its housing market. With a wide range of price points and steady buyer interest, it represents the healthy, balanced growth that defines much of Mineral Wells.
Stay tuned for the next post in this series, where we’ll explore another area of town and uncover the numbers of that neighborhood!
