Do you love the outdoors or communing with nature? An excellent way to do that here in Mineral Wells is at the Lake Mineral Wells State Park & Trailway. From Mineral Wells to Weatherford, Texas, you will enjoy approximately 20 miles of scenery.
Hiking, bicycling and horseback riding are all welcome. Dogs may accompany their humans, but must be on a leash. Get to know Mineral Wells by walking from the old train station down to McDonald’s. Take a break, maybe get a bite to eat, and then continue your journey on the part of the trailway that joins with Lake Mineral Wells State Park. As you walk along, keep your eyes open as there are many different types of bird, wildflower and animal species to see. It’s not unusual to see deer, wild turkeys and fox squirrels on your journey.
